News > Fresh look and enhanced features on the new Nissan Patrol

Nissan has just revealed the new 2020 Nissan Patrol, with features that offer customers even more sophistication, comfort, safety and connectivity. The striking new design with luxurious features and advanced Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies retains the exceptional go-anywhere capabilities with class-leading power.

Loved by generations of loyal customers, the Nissan Patrol is an emblem of the brand’s SUV heritage. Since the debut in 1951, Nissan has gained about 1.9 million customers who are drawn to its durability, reliability, design, safety, and comfort, together with the all-terrain performance. To this day, the Patrol is still the flagship of Nissan’s 4x4 line-up and is one of the longest standing and most loved models.

Joni Paiva, the regional vice president of the Africa, Middle East and India region at Nissan says the Patrol has a long and proud Nissan heritage, while representing the heights of luxury and capability but will continue to show the loyal customers of the Middle East and around the world that the brand is committed to providing authentic experiences.

The Patrol has been engineered from the wheels up and is made to tackle the most excruciating driving conditions. It can give the same level of comfort while cruising on the highway as well as when taking on the rocky mountain terrain.

The Patrol has earned its reputation of being one of the most capable vehicles while delivering outstanding driving performance with best-in-class engines and advanced Hydraulic Body Motion Control. In 2020, Nissan took all the aspects of the vehicle that were always there, and made it even better!

Some design changes include Nissan’s V-motion grille that showcases a new way for SUVs, together with the new boomerang-shaped LED headlights, the grille highlights a strong and angular front.

The new taillights at the rear also sport the boomerang shape and are seamlessly integrated along with a large chrome nameplate and rear turn indicators which are also a first time on a Nissan vehicle.

The new centre console has dual displays with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring that customers can make the most of their smartphones and stay connected.

The diamond-stick quilted leather with added padding on the seats and hand-stitching steering wheel gives a luxurious feel, with climate control and powered lumbar support options for the front seats. There have also been significant reductions in noise and vibration to ensure a quieter cabin with improved cooling and airflow distribution system.

The extensive suite of advanced safety and security technologies are a stand-out in the Nissan Patrol, in addition to the Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies already available, the new model includes Intelligent Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection and Intelligent Forward Collison Warning System.

The Patrol is powered for all-terrain by the strongest V6 and V8 engines in the segment. The 4.0-litre V6 produces 275 horsepower and 394 Nm of torque, while the 5.6-litre V8 produces 400 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque.

The All-Mode 4x4 systems give the driver the chance to switch models to handle different road conditions, and the Hydraulic Body Motion Control on the V8 models gives a more comfortable ride with its improved suspension and vibration reduction.
